Agapo's family business brings the best of India to the world of fashion. For the past 30 years they have worked with designers and retailers to turn their ideas into products by providing design guidance, production and distribution services.
Butter worked with Agapo to refresh their brand identity and create a new website to market their services. We were enthralled by the beauty that goes into Agapo’s textile production, all captured by photographer, and former Apple Creative Director, Scott Witt who traveled to India to document the place, process, and people that bring the products to life.
The site is a sleek but inviting design that showcases Agapo’s myriad of services. Custom icons reflect the vernacular of a clothing label but are uniquely tied to the themes of Agapo’s business. The brand mark feels like it could appear on the doorway to an old Atelier. Clean animated elements and a palette of pastels add a subtle, light-hearted feeling to the design. The site acts as a frame for Scott’s photos of Agapo’s manufacturing and operations processes with the goal of helping visitors to better understand how Agapo could serve their business from production through distribution.
Custom icons were designed to represent the tenants of Agapo's business: Capabilities, Certified Organic, Private Label, Warehousing and Distribution, Sustainability, Brand Incubation.
The brand mark references a traditional monogram, something you might find in brass on the door to a classic atelier.
